The Commission

In Matthews 28:18-20, Jesus commissioned the eleven epostles before He ascended into Heaven:

And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power [authority] is given unto me in heaven and in earth (v. 18).

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations [or make disciples or Christians of all nations], baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Ghost (v. 19):

Teaching them to observe [keep] all things whateverso I have commanded you; and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen (v. 20).

Jesus did not commission the apostles to just go get people saved. He commissioned them to make diciples or Christians of all Nations. In verse 20, Jesus specifically instructed the eleven how to make Christians. They were to teach people to observe or keep all the things Jesus had commanded them (the eleven) while He was on this earth.

Hebrews 13:8 states that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Therefore, His commission has not changed. The sole purpose of New Life Christian Ministries, which includes all of the outreach programs of New Life Christian Church, is to obey Jesus' commission by making disciples or Christians of all nations. To become a disciple of Jesus, a person must obey the very begining principles that Jesus commanded. First, a person must be born again.Following the born-again experience, a person must be baptized in water by immersion and baptized in the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in other tongues.

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible is th inspired word of god, the product of holy men of god who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:21).

We believe there is one true god, eternally existing as three seperate persons--the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (I John 5:7).

We believe Jesus, being the Son of God, came tot his earth as a man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18). Jesus walked inthis earth as a man, empty Himself of His Godly authority and priviledges (Philippians 2:7).

We believe Jesus lived a sinless life and paid the price for us all by laying down His life on obedience to the Father (Hebrews 4:15, II Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 9:23, Philippians 2:8).

We believe that jesus died ont he cross for our sins, that He was buried, that His Spirit and His soul descended into hell, that on the third say , the Father raised Him from the dead, and that He ascended upinto Heaven where He sits at the Fther's own right hand today. This is the true gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and this is the gospel that we preach (ICorinthians 15:1-4, Psalms 16:8-10, Psalms 88:6, Ephesians 1:19-22).

We believe a person must be born again or saved bt confessing Jesus Lord and by believing in the heart that God raised Jesus form the dead (John 3;3, Romans 10:8-10, 13).

We believe that followinf the born-again experience, a person should be baptized in the water by immersion and baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tonhues(Romans6:3-5, Ephesians1:13-14, Acts 10:44-46).

We believe that salvation is a gift of God to mankind, not according to works or the law of Moses, but by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9).

We believe there is an eternal hell as described by Jesus in Luke 16 reserved for people whose names are nt written in the Book of Life (Luke 16:19-31, Revelation 20:15).

We believe that whe Jesus was raised from the dead, the Father forgave our sins, and through faith in the blood of jesus, we have redemption from sin, from the law of Moses which includes the Ten Commandments, from the authority of Satan, and our conscience is purged from the dead works that we might serve the living God (I Peter 2:24, Romans 3:19-26, Galatians 3:13, Galatians 4:4-5, Colossians 1:13-14, Hebrews 9:14).

We believe that when Jesus was raised from the dad, the Father sactified us to Himself, He justified us from all things from which the law could not justify us, and He made us righteous through the gift of righteousness (Acts 13:39, Romans 5:17).

We believe that when Jesus was raised from the dead, the Father healed us of every disease and every sickness; He made us rich, and He made us kings and priests unto our God that we might reign and rule in this life through Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53:4-5, II Corinthians 8:9, Revelations 5:9-10).

We believe the just shall live by the faith of God. Faith comes by hearing the gospel. A person must serve God with his/her spirit int he gospel and mix faith with the gospel for the gospel to profit his.he (Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3;11, Hebrews 10:38, Romans 10:13-17, Romans 1:9, Hebrews 4:2).

We believe that God set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues (I Corinthians 12:28).

We believe that just as Jesus commissioned the eleven apostles to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature and teach, ot make desciples of, all nations by taching them to observe all things that Jesus had command the eleven while He was on the earth, so He has commissioned us today to do the same (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:18-20, Hebrews 13:8).

We believe that at His coming, the dead in Christ will rise first and the those who are alive and remain will be caught up together with Jesus in the clouds, and we believe that only the Father knows when this will occur (I Thessalonians 4:14-17, I Corinthians 15:51-53, Matthew 24:36).

We believe that signs will always follow the preaching of the gospel, and this was demonstrated in Acts chapter 8 and Acts chapter 10 (Mark 16:15-18, Acts 10:44-46).

We believe every word of the New Testament as it is written and that it can only be received and understood through the Holy Spirit (John 16:13. I Corinthians 2:9-12).
